Default Anyone been to Cabela's lately? How's the ammo situation?

Anyoen been there lately? How's their stock of .223 ammo, namely Black Hills, PMC, and S&B? I need ammo for my range trip Sunday.

    Thanks!
    Dave

This is what I saw there Tues of this week.

    All 7.62x39 is gone

    All cheap 380, 9mm, 45 gone

They have their dry box special of 223 but no wolf, very limited black hills ammo, no PMC, no S&B.

They had just gotten in a supply of 308 and 223 but they did not inventory it as of the day I was there.

Best bet is to call and have them put it aside for you. See if they will hold it with a credit card and pay for it in cash when you get there.

Fuck. I need some other stuff so I'll go and keep my fingers crossed. I fucking hate Obama, and the panic market his election has produced.

Ya gotta admit, for a gun grabber, Obama is a hell of a gun salesman....
The firearm and ammo manufactures should kick him back some $$.....LOL

I'm hoping they at least have some of the Ultramax remanufactured stuff. I'm just working on short range drills this weekend so I don't need any long range tack driving ammo.

I've found that the best prices right about now are online, if you aren't opposed to that avenue.

Cheaper than dirt, the place I usually go through, however is absurd with this market rush. One month ago Federal .45 JHP was $28 for 50, last week $60 for 50. Best bet is shop around the internet.
And don't think you're off the hook, voters, you're the ones who made this bed. Now you're the ones who are going to have to move over so a gay couple can sleep in it. Tomorrow you're all going to wake up in a brave new world, a world where the Constitution gets trampled by an army of terrorist clones, created in a stem-cell research lab run by homosexual doctors who sterilize their instruments over burning American flags. -- Stephen Colbert

I don't like paying shipping, and I need ammo for this weekend.

I just got off the phone with Cabela's and they are completely stocked up on every brand of .223, they put the new shipment on the shelves this morning. Looks like I'll be ready to go for the weekend

Cabela's was expensive to begin with.
Let us know what the prices look like now...

He said prices stayed the same. Expensive? On some stuff, yeah. But I get PMC and S&B .223 ammo cheaper there than anywhere online.
