Default Any black powder shooters?

As the title says, anyone here have the black powder bug? I just came across a deal I couldn't refuse on an 1858 Remington new army replica. Made by Pietta. I'd like to one day build a flintlock rifle. Fun way to punch holes in paper, and cans.

Love shooting my smokepoles.. I am also a Civil War reenactor. As an officer I carry a Colt 1860 Army and a 1858 Remington, or 1842 sheriff.

Love the smell of black powder burning early in the morning, or after noon, or evening...

I got 3 revolvers, cva rifle and my favorite, Pedderson double barrel 12 ga. I'm going to shoot trap with it this year with my pistol buddies. The trap guys wouldn't put up with the smoke. I'll post a report, call it trap smokin' or somthing.

Muzzleloader season is great! Especially when your main charge gets wet and doe, 15 feet away, lets you try 3 times to shoot her with the flash powder going off each time. Laughed my way out of the woods that day. It was great.

yeap. here's my first build.
started off as a T/C hawkens. though there's not much T/C left to it any more, thimbles and trigger guard that's about it. it's a crappy pic.
and this one of it's 75 yrd targets.

I teach a short seminar on early Pennsylvania rifle history, so I do a lot of traditional flintlock.

I shoot a TC Omega for the early muzzleloader season. I also had a TC Firestorm for the late flintlock season.
