Cool Re: Limp wrist or myth?

To reveal wether "limp wristing " is real or not, i believe that 35 years as a firearms instructor, it is valid, after everything else has been eliminated
mechanically that would cause a semi-auto pistol fail to feed, extract, eject, in
the cycle of operation. I use AOL, GO TO THERE NEW SEARCH, Just type in
"limp wristing" and you will find a host of about 20 pages of information.

Cool Re: Limp wrist or myth?

Hey fundamentals, You're from my area. I'd say that 35 yrs is enough experience for sure. I believe all you guys, like I said I saw it. Just never took it seriously before. I'd even suppose that after shooting for years its happened to me and I never suspected. Where do you shoot and where were/are you an instructor? What kind of instructor? WSSA?

Cool Re: Limp wrist or myth?

Nice list. I've been to the wssa with a friend as they won't vote on me till march 27th so you could go to the meeting and help vote me in. Sorry shameless plug for support. My compadre is already a member (1 month) and we were wondering about pistol courses offered by the club and such we're not LE or anything but we just wanted to try to get better perhaps. Do you teach anything there? I'm not into the cowboy action shooting or, not as yet. Later

It could be. When I was trying out different guns to determine what I wanted to buy as my first handgun, he let me borrow his 92FS so I could try out a 9mm pistol. It was comfortable to shoot, in my hands was very accurate, and was actually what made me decide to buy a 9mm. Cheaper to shoot than .40 or .45, and I was looking for a gun to learn to shoot on that I could use as a defense pistol if need be. However, the minute I relaxed my grip even the slightest bit during recoil, it would either FTE or fail to put the next round in battery. Never shot another gun before or since that was so sensitive in that regard.

Not knocking the Beretta, just didn't work for me.

The spelling in English is "Molon Labe!", and loosely translated means "Come and take them!". This was what King Leonidas of Greece said to Xerxes, the General of the Persian army, as 300 Spartans gave their lives during the Battle of Thermopylae to buy time for the rest of the Greek army to retreat. FYI, this is not Greek mythology, this really happened. In addition, those 300 men held off a Persian host that, according to historical accounts, numbered them approx 80,000. Take a look here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molon_labe
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Thermopylae

This is the historical account that the move "300" is based on.

Cool Re: Limp wrist or myth?

That was only a guess that it was greek. I saw the special on the 300 on the hist channel it was pretty good. Even before it aired I knew about the greek hist a little as I had an uncle who is a big fan. Quite the feet for an army of the time. The naval battle was supposed to be pretty ingenious as well. I'm no great student of history but it does hold my attention. About the pb I never had trouble with one that I knew. The pb comment was just a fun little poke at the souls who would bash gun a over gun b. There are people who have fun and love even the cheapo guns so to each his own, as long as it works for them and they like it. Not everyone can own the sigs etc. some just can't afford them. I've got a huge variety from the cheapo h+a .32 that I paid 5$ for to the steyr m-9 and sig 2009. Yes, I bought a gun for 5$!! A friend had a shop and got it in a collection couldn't sell it and said you pay the pics and it's yours. Couldn't beat the price.

I've seen this happen with my son. He's 12 and the only time my gun ever failed to eject a round was when he shot it. It only happened one time, but it was the only failure I have ever had.
