Default Anyway to turn off sounds from the ads?

The ads that pop up in the upper right window that have sounds, is there anyway to disable the sound? These stupid things keep scaring the crap outta me......YOU JUST WON 1000 DOLLARS.......Please help!

Ahh.... that might be it too... I run Firefox with AdBlock Plus and NoScript. I'm also a Gold Member so.... I dunno which has turned off the ads for me.

you could probably put the url to the ad in your hosts file and it should block it. =P

Can't you just mute your sound?

I don't hear anything till I turn my sound on, way to many noises for me to keep it on all the time.

The really "slick" ad companies get around this with adaptive DNS, they register thousands of weird entries across lots of cheap space in datacenters and boom, makes it reallly hard to block. Adblock does a good job by the sheer volume of people using it.
