Default Advantage of Utah Class for CC
Why take the Utah class and get the LTCF (or CCW)? Is it simply that Utah has reciprocity with states PA does not?

Yeah, that's pretty much the reason. People get the Florida permit for the same reason. Although overall, the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit seems to be the best "bargain" over Florida as far as fees.

Specifically, UT add the ability to CC in Deleware and Ohio - fairly popular since they both border Pa.

Some folks also like the thought of a back-up, in the event that their LTCF is revoked - even if the revocation is only temporarily.

They have a list of instructors on the web site. Find one in your area and give them a call for the next scheduled class.

If your home-state LTCF gets revoked - I will wager that UTAH BCI will pull theirs in short-order.

UTAH is VERY diligent about cross-checking records on a frequent basis.

That would depend on why your LTCF was revoked. There are a number of people who have been denied an LTCF, but have still been issued a Utah permit.

So just let your Pa. LTCF expire. Pa sheriff can't revoke, what you don't have.
