He made me do a little homework on gun control, and after doing it I have to say. I now believe ther is no such thing as reasonable, or sensible gun laws! Before I read my homework I was under the idea, that a legal gun owner should not be against such " reasonable", and " sensible" gun laws. I now see why you guys are. He has showed me how these so called reasonable and sensible laws, can someday prove to be our own worst enemy. I never realized before reading hwat he gave me as homework, how such a simple law could have such a huge snowball affect on us!

empty I thank you so much for showing me, that to protect my rights to keep and bear arms, I must fight these so called reasonable, and respectable gun laws!

Pierce8468,
Thanks for the update and kind words.

I wondered what you thought of the article, but figured I'd wait as I didn't want to come off as "pushing" my views on you.

Many years ago, I used to wonder what the "big deal" was regarding laws that "protect" the public from harm... then, slowly, I began to understand! If I had read that info those many years ago, it would have opened MY eyes much sooner as well.

For those who are curious, the article that Pierce8468 is referring to is "Lost Battles, Lost Rights." and I have posted the link a few times. I am happy to learn that it was not done in vain, and I'm also relieved that I didn't act on my first instinct to BASH Pierce8468 in his post where we first "met." Instead I offered up some info and suggested this to read...
http://www.nraila.org/Issues/Articles/Read.aspx?ID=58
I am very happy that I chose to bite my tongue and attempt to "educate", rather than childishly call someone names.

Seems we BOTH learned something from the exchange.

Almost forgot...

What did I win and where do I go to pick up my prize?

I have great difficulty remaining serious for too long.

Pierce8468, I'm glad you saw the flaws in the whole premise of gun control laws.

Emptymag, great job on the education. I was a bit hard on Pierce8468, I'm glad you stayed cool and chose to act a little more reasonably.

I think what empty did was the best thing he could have done. Had he just have bashed me for my ignorance, I would still see the situation thru a clouded lens. Since he kept his cool and gave me an interesting read. I was able to see where his position on this came from, and able to understand why he has his position!

Pierce,

Welcome back. Hadn't seen your name pop up recently.
You must have been reading the other book.

You won one more vote for FREEDOM and you only need to look at your hip (unless you use a shoulder holster)
