Maybe not "friendly" more like California style laws, I'd say Canada, Switzerland, New Zealand, Israel and Finland come to mind.

The Swiss and the Israelis are probably the most gun friendly.

Exclamation Re: gun country?

Don't laugh when I say this (ok, SPELL this... ), but, FRANCE (I SAID DON'T LAUGH, DAMMIT! ) actually allows for private ownership of MOST types of HANDGUNS - about the only EU country that does!

actually israel was the first ones that came to mind, followed by switzerland (i read somewhere that upon turning 18 everyone is issued a revolver and ammo, not sure if its true or not). theyre both great countries to be sure, but id prolly have to learn another language. and canada? really? id have to look into that one

Canada isn't great. Probably similar to California or New York. They did just elect a conservative Parliament in October. Coupled with a Conservative Prime Minister, there may be some hope up there for CC and pro-gun laws. At least that's the buzz.

NZ, Israel, Switzerland. Hey, they have pretty lax gun control in Somalia too Its not too hard to get hold of many handguns in Pakistan too I think.

Switzerland, hands down.
The government issues the same rifles the military uses to it's citizens so that they are armed against any foreighn incursion.
Every household is armed.
A very polite society.
They even hold marksmanship contests on a regular basis for any citizen wishing to compete, and they (the government) encourages the populace to compete to hone thier effectiveness.
Sorta like the government and the NRA did prior to what?,,, When did the country change?
