You need to clean your firing pin channel. Detail strip the slide, Clean your pistol with hot water, dish soap and a toothbrush. Use q-tips to get into the pin channel. Use compressed air or a hairdryer to dry. Do not lubricate the pin channel. Do not over lubricate the gun. Use a q-tip with a couple drops of oil on it and brush lightly over the factory recommended lubrication points.

You guys are all FOS. My Jennings J-22 is far superior and you all know it!
As a matter of fact, I can empty up to half a mag before I get a FTF.
Consistantly.

I always find these posts funny, with the number of handguns I have owned and abused extensively (HK full size and a compact, Glock, Springfield XD, Walther P99, IMI Baby Eagle, S&W revolver, Taurus Revolver, S&W Sigma, Steyr M series, Ruger Mark .22's, Ruger Blackhawk, Springfield 1911's), the only guns I have ever had a malfunction with in well over a hundred thousand rounds (maybe close to 200k, I'd have to check my logs) over the last 8 years was a Steyr M9 (action seized completely shut on a live round, factory defect) and a couple of jams on the new Ruger Mark III's I just bought.

I can't seem to get my guns to jam or malfunction. I have a 1911 that hasn't been cleaned internally since I got it (fouling wiped off of the slide and frame only, no barrel or internal parts lubed or cleaned), I still can't get it to malfunction after going on 1000 rounds in it. I can feel the slide dragging a bit, but it works fine so far. It’s a Springfield stock 1911.

My fathers Glock hadn’t been cleaned, lubed or shot in 5 years, I took it out to the range and it shot fine. The action wasn't very smooth, but it worked.

I shot my Walther P99 for an entire year without cleaning it aside form the external surfaces, not one problem.

The Internet being the bastion of BS that it is, I am inclined to think that most of these malfunctions are operator error (either in operation or maintenance -or they have a Dremel and suddenly think they're a gunsmith). Either that or I should go buy a lottery ticket, I'm apparently one lucky SOB.

I also think that claims of operational superiority are silly, nearly any quality-made gun will be reliable provided it left the factory in proper operable condition and it is cared for within the maintenance designed for that particular type and model of firearm.

You guys who don't clean your firearms are gonna make me cry!

I just can't wrap my mind around the idea of letting a gun sit without cleaning it. I'm just funny that way, I guess.

NineseveN,
I guess I can understand that YOU would do that now that you're a "hick"...Hell, you Johnstown people don't even wash your armpits, but there's no excuse for the others!

Oh, and just to keep this "on track", my G19 had a round jam on me a few weeks ago. I discretely cleared it so no-one would see!!!

heh, i just washed (literally) my glock a couple hours ago because i was bored. There was at least a few thousand rounds of wolf through it. Seriously, it could have easily gone another few thousand.

You might wise up sometime and realize people make their own choices and you need to stop telling them they should only trust glock its not that great of a pistol, on its 95th birthday we'll see if people are still useing it and if the companies who make a similar gun are in the numbers and have the following as the 1911. and if you read american handgunner then there starts the problem.
