I think we were referring to the Single-Six units.

Yes, they found a case where in a controlled setting they were able to get an SR-9 to fire on impact. Not sure if anyone ever reproduced the issue other than Ruger. I know quite a few tried.

Ruger did a re-design and launched recall for the others. The fact of the matter is that the SR-9 is probably more drop-fire resistant than many guns sold on the market.

So some of us get a little annoyed when they get trashed for doing the right thing and going the extra mile on safety.

I was thinking about getting a small auto for pocket carry. It was going to be either Ruger LCP or Bersa Thunder...I really like the way Ruger is handling this recall so I will probably go with a new Ruger! (Unless I just say screw it and get a 2-1/2" Ruger Alaskan in .454!)

My LCP has been great, no malfunctions, very accurate, easy to shoot, not the recoiling beast some make it out to be. Handall Jr. and good technique and you will be very pleased. Of course I say the same for my KT P3-AT's also because they too have been great.

I do wish they offer the LCP in .32 as well.

Good news and bad news. Oh well, at least I can get my malfunctioning LCP sent back free and easy. Glad I waited. Thanks for posting this thread.

Hmm, so they have a recall to modify the one part that they didn't copy from the p3at? (yes I mean the hammer block.) :stirring the pot:

Glad they're taking the initiative to fix a problem, but sad to see that they have put out 2 guns that needed recalls for "safety".

This coming from a Ruger fan, well Ruger revolver and .22 fan.

Sweet! Mine is a 30 series, so it goes back. Never thought I'd be glad to send a gun back for repair. Hope they fix the other, far more serious problem with mine.

Is there a 1 gun limit all of a sudden that I don't know about?=)
