Default Laws on CCW and Trains

This is probably a stupid question but does anyone know what the laws are regarding guns on trains if you have a CCW.

The only stupid question in the one not asked. I too would like to know the answer, I suspect it is the same as carrying in a mall or any other public place.

It's not the same as carrying in malls or other public places.

Amtrak won't allow it. Period. End of discussion.

Other non-Amtrak trains in the Commonwealth? Well, the LTCF grants you permission to carry concealed throughout the Commonwealth.

What they dont know cant hurt them. Unless you have a misfire, but thats another story.

What authority does SEPTA, or Amtrak have? Other than ask you to leave the premises?

I have seen SEPTA conductors grab people on two different occasions and forcefully eject them from the train. Both times the people deserved it though.

Which would be like I said earlier, same as carrying in a mall. All I think they can do is ask you to leave. (I said I think, make sure BEFORE you try it)

Aren't AMTRAK and SEPTA publicly-funded/subsidized, i.e., public property?

Depends, where the train goes. In state or crossing state lines.

Things might get a little blurry crossing state lines.

Of course if the train is going bat out of hell (over 100 MPH), you may not be in the state long enough to care.

I checked the amtrak website for rules and regs and the only thing they say is that you cannot have a firearm or ammunition in checked or carry on luggage. It says nothing about on your person if you have a CCW
