I went today to grab a 500 round case of 45acp, this may have been the first time ever that the clerk knew the correct price AND procedure to ring it up at the sale price. Then while she was making smalltalk I mentioned that they didnt have the shoes I was looking for in stock in my size. She apologized and applied another discount to my ammo !!! I walked out with 500 rounds of Remmington 45 for $136 OTD !

I am making a note to myself to call down there (and corporate) and tell managment what excellent service I recieved.

I am sure they get PLENTY of calls over every minor issue any dumbass has at their stores.

I have had cutomer complaints because:

we stock milk so that the ones that go out of code soonest are closest to the customer
our gas price was lower in the evening than it was the morning when the customer bought their gas. They want a rebate for the differance.
I had one guy spill gas on his shoes, go home and THROW THEM IN THE DRYER !!!! He wanted us to replace the shoes, but was kind enough to not demand we replace the dryer, which he severly damaged.

I could go on.

Dicks is not a gun shop, and i dont ecpect the clerks to know the diff between 9mm and 45acp, or the correct price on an item that they may (personally) never even ring up. Their pricing issues are cleary corparate and IT problems. They rely heavily on the register to scan in prices, when the sale prices are not programmed in it is not the clerks fault.

Yes, that's really a carved pumpkin. No, not a real pumpkin, but an artificial pumpkin. It was carved by a friend of mine and took him hours with a dremel to finish it.

When I used to stock milk, it always used to bug me when they would come up and take it out of my new crates. So I used to take the old stock off the shelf and put into the crates on the cart while putting the new stock on the back of the shelves. They would come up and grab the milk out of the crates thinking it the new stuff without looking at the date. He he.

So, just out of curiosity, since we shot pumpkins at the last shoot, are we going to shoot turkeys at this shoot? Stop at walmart and get some frozen ones on the way there...
