Obama to Plumber: My Plan Will 'Spread the Wealth Around'

If you have a job and pay taxes congratulations you're wealthy...

Barack Obama told a tax-burdened plumber over the weekend that his economic philosophy is to "spread the wealth around" -- a comment that may only draw fire from riled-up John McCain supporters who have taken to calling Obama a "socialist" at the Republican's rallies.

Obama made the remark, caught on camera, after fielding some tough questions from the plumber Sunday in Ohio, where the Democratic candidate canvassed neighborhoods and encouraged residents to vote early.

"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed "more and more for fulfilling the American dream."

"It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success too," Obama responded. "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody ... I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

Obama frequently rails against what he calls a Republican concept that tax breaks for the wealthy will somehow "trickle down" to middle-class Americans.

Obama says he will not raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year.

However, McCain's aides and supporters argue that Obama wrongly wants to raise taxes on businesses in a time of economic distress.

If I remember my high school classes in world history (don't laugh just because it was more than 40 years ago!) that is a primary definition of a Socialist. That coupled with government control of the economy, firmly places him in the Socialist column.

So lets start naming him for what he is.

He is a damn Marxist. But I'm just a damn racist. That's why I am calling him that. That's why I want him to answer for 20 years listening to Rev Wright and not leaving that church until public outrage. How about Ayers? Rezko? Kalhid? ACORN? This man is a radical Marxist.

Wealth redistribution? If you have worked for your money was it "distributed" to you? If it wasn't distributed how can it be redistributed? If I earn something it is not distributed to me it is given in trade for something of equivalent value. I'm jus soooooo confused.

Not only wealth redistribution, but redistribution to other countries.

What makes me laugh is the "poor" in this country can drive an Escalade, have cable TV, a plasma TV, a bluetooth for their phone, an iPhone, xbox 360, a wii for their kids, a PS3 just so they can play the Blue Ray (I mean why have the plasma if you can't watch Blue Ray?), and their kids have nice clothes and phones and gadgets than I do. But in other nations poor means you have NOTHING. I'm more willing to accept (and any government skimming pisses me off) some of my money going to the truely poor than these idiots in our country.
