Default House Committee Schedules Statewide Hearings on "Gun Violence"

The House Judiciary Committee, Chaired by Tom Caltagirone (Berks -D) has scheduled statewide hearings on gun-related crime. This will be an opportunity for gun owners in Pennsylvania to express their concerns regarding the many recent anti-gun proposals introduced in the House of Representatives. If you are interested in presenting testimony or need further information on any of the informational meetings please contact John Ryan or Bill Andring at 717-787-3525.

The following is a preliminary list of cities and dates.

March 30 West Philadelphia

6916 Elmwood Avenue
10:00 a.m. - noon

April 13 North Philadelphia

April 20 Center City Philadelphia

Philadelphia City Hall

April 27 Harrisburg - Final policy hearing.

Since when does hosting meetings in Philadelphia constitute "State Wide Meetings"?

The last one listed in Harrisburg is merely to announce what they have DECIDED!

I have a better idea. Declare marshal law in the "Hood". Round up all the thugs and put them away. Just because some banger in the inner city has no respect for his race or the law, does not give the Socialist Democrats the need to curtail my rights here in Scranton,Pa.

The sad fact is there is something wrong with the black culture in this country. Most of the violence in Americas inner cities is black on black. Look at the most "dangerous cities in America. Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Baltimore MD. and Detroit MI. All have significant black populations. Some areas have very tight gun laws, some don't.
If changing PA's gun laws will help, then why is the murder rate so high in Washington D.C. and Baltimore.

Most of the politicians pushing this agenda are black politicians from Philly and Pittsburgh. They refuse to see the problem for what it is. The black condition in this country is one of self loathing and racism. The black politicians don't have the guts to tell the truth. Being good citizens starts at home. If you raise your children without direction, who's fault is it when they get lost? Here is a hint , this one ain't George Bush's fault!

i forwarded this information to my libertarian party contacts. We're getting a posse togeather to go into the lions den. The libertarian platform should do well in a room full of liberals and mothers of victims of gun violence.

And i'm going to correct you and say there's a problem with the culture of poverty and entitlement in this country, black, white, latino or whatever.

LOL so they circle around Philly, then end in the center of Philly. Well maybe I'll go to the West Philly meeting as that is only 7 1/2 hours away. The north Philly meeting would take me about 7 3/4 hours and that is simply too far.

in addition to the sugestions above, let's take the fight to them. go here http://www.ethics.state.pa.us/ethics...sp?a=4&Q=91101 download the complaint form, and file an official ethics complaint aginst these people for knowingly adn willfully violating their oath of office. If they get enough complaints, they'll have to do something. If they only get mine, they'll blow it off as a nut job.
