Good looking out.

Also, an important note has been added to the original post...

Hey everybody, just found this thread by accident. I'd love to come, and maybe bring a non-computer using pro 2nd Amendment friend.. So glad you chose "Famous Daves"! I am a chef, and even though it's a so-so chain place, the thought of going to the Spaghetti Warehouse makes me shudder. You all might know more about guns than I, but let a cook give you some sage advice: Anything that serves food that has the name "warehouse" in it, slowly back away!!!!!!

Caa2003 has been told by a few people that it's dirty there and the food ain't all that great.

I personally cannot chime in because I never ate there...

Bring whoever you want!

They don't have to carry to come, either....

Gah, this event is exactly 11 days too early! I'll be coming in to Philly to get married during the couple of weeks before and would love to meet you guys...I'll be gone on my honeymoon by then.

I have eaten at the Warehouse and found it to be clean and the food OK with reasonable prices. Not a 5 star restaurant by any means but not everyone afford those places. The layout of the Warehouse is one reason I suggested it, wide open, good for a group gathering. Another reason was it's location, close to Center City which is what the OP was looking for.

I've eaten at Famous Dave's as well, decent food, reasonable prices and while I don't know about the South Philly one, the location near me is a bit more cramped.

I would suggest to the OP that Famous Dave's be called to see if they can reserve a few tables together for our group (once a head count is made), getting spread around the restaurant kind of defeats the get together aspect of the meet and greet. Saturday night is a popular go out and eat night.

Just my $.04 (adjusted for inflation)

Bill

As it gets closer, I'll make contact with the manager of Famous Dave's. If I call now, 3 weeks early, they'll be like...call when it's closer.
