Knighthawk and I are down for any place that's easy to get to, has parking, and isn't terribly expensive.

Don't worry about parking for me, I'll ride my bike! I'll eat anywhere, and hopefully the date is after I get my FL license....its been 2 months since submission and I want it already!

I hope I have it by then, I was told 5 weeks to 2 months, so hopefully this week. If I don't get it in time, I'll just hang out with y'all. If I do get to go, it would most likely be my first time carrying or severely close to it.

I'd definitely be up for meeting some Philly people depending on when it was scheduled! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Also, my vote's for Famous Dave's---there's WAY more parking and it's less of a hassle than Spring Garden.

+1 on that...I've ate there a few times at that particular location before the 1 near me opened up.

If anyone is looking for a more casual outing before the weather gets too cold,,, I would suggest one of the new restaurants on City Line Ave. There is a Pei Wei (owned by PF Changs and similar menu, just lower cost), California Pizza Kitchen, Chipotle, and Potbellies. All 4 share an outdoor patio seating area(well, Potbellies is down underneath, but you still sit in the same place) and more important, a free parking garage. It is also located just across the street from Montgomery County.

The reason I would suggest this, is it's a little more suburban, but still Philly and would be a good starting point for a meet a greet with out being in the heart of Philly.

it doesn't even have to be an OC event (I don't), but more of an opportunity to meet some other local forum members..

location link--- Google Maps

They already had one on City Ave, at TGI Fridays.

I believe the planners of this events idea is to have one closer to the heart of Philly, which would be Spring Garden a few blocks off Broad Street. That part of Spring Garden is not as hard to park on as a few blocks in either direction would be.

Dave's is in south Philly along the river in a big shopping area which would provide more exposure with all the other shoppers around and much easier parking.

Both places have decent food at reasonable prices.

You don't have to OC when attending these events BIA_Design, I've been to one and there were several of us that choose to CC, and I went just to meet some more PAFOA folks. I've met forum folks all over the state and it's always been a good time.

Bill

Spaghetti Warehouse is a good idea. The food is good and not very expensive. Parking should'nt be a problem if you don't mind walking a couple blocks if necessary and have a couple bucks in quarters for the meter.
