Default Re: Carrying a loaded chamber?

When I first started carrying a 1911 I carried empty chaimber. Very quickly realized it was foolish. I wasn't comfortable enough to go with no mechanical safety (glock) so I bought an XD. I know I can drop the pistol and nothing will happen unless grip safety and then the trigger is pressed.

Talking Re: Carrying a loaded chamber?

First pistol I carried was a Browning Hi Power and was taught to carry cocked and locked condition one. The gentleman that owned the gun store where I bought the Browning, at his suggestion also taught a handgun safety and defensives class and told me this is the only way to carry a defensive firearm. From there I went to 1911 and continue to carry condition one with total confidence.
