I'm not saying you will not be charged. I'm saying everyone is a bit reluctant to test the issue, including me.
Thats precisely what I want to see from how I'm thinking of it. Can they be trespassing if they have a legal right to be there (IE their kids are in school there).

The actual "other lawful purposes" seems like it will never get clarified, but if no one is ever charged, its a default support.

I go to a community college i dont carry my gun on me but it is locked in the lock box in my truck at all times, if it is illegal and i can get arrested im not going to quit taking it to school cause no one knows where it is at. with this case of the man in shippensburg he shouldn't have been carrying a gun in the first place, if he is going to show it around and threaten kids with it.

They can only be charged with trespass if, after being requested to leave, refuse to comply.

Even if you have kids in the school if they tell you to leave and you don't that is trespass, busted. I don't know how it works now but it was like this. they tell you to leave you don't they call the law. the law arrives and gets the skinny. they tell you to leave. if you don't you get to ride in their car. They don't charge you for that ride but it can still be a very expensive ride.

This is very true. Once someone is asked to leave private property and do not leave it is considered trespassing. Usually what happens is you would get a fine, thats it but is it worth $300 not to just comply and leave.

I still want to now how exactly a "public" school is "private" property?

It's not, and neither is the capital, but they won't let you in there either with a firearm...

And there is NO provision in state law for that one...

As for other lawful purpose, I cannot see how a court could rule that self defense isn't a lawful purpose considering we have a constitutional right to bear arms in defense of ourselves...

A LTCF is not just for concealed carry it's also for open carry in Philadelphia and in your car.

Just because a school is "public" does not mean it is open to the general "public" to come and go as they please. It is still "private" property owned by the school district.
