Try to get out to Camp Perry, just seeing the 600Yd line is assume.
Competing on it with the Marine Corps, Army, Navy shooting teams right there, just adds pride he'll carry for life. Kudos to both you and Lil' Buck!

Just have to post that we shot CMP today and he shot a 399 1X at 50 yards with an M1 Carbine.
Next month he wants to move to shooting at 100 yards  He had one group on rapid fire sitting where there where 3 shots low to the left in the 9 ring that we could cover with one sticker

Way to go Buck!! And a hearty slap on the back for Dad. I'm betting that within a year you've got 2" groups at 100.
Since it's kids and firearms themed on this thread, I just got an excellent deal on an H&R Pardner .410 for my 11y.o. daughter. It was the last one Dick's had and has a slight mark on the barrel from their locking bar, thus the great deal. And they threw in a case at a discount. Her first shotgun....damn near as nice as the first steps.
