I had neglected this thread for a while, and just now saw Shawn's offer to let me try out the fullsize - Much appreciated, Shawn! I'm sorry I missed out on that Group Shoot... Damn I need to start subscribing to threads...

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the compact. I find this Wilson KZ-9 Compact to be a VERY tempting piece. I didn't realize that it was the same thickness in the grip as a Gov't model 1911 w/ standard grips... NICE, NICE, NICE!!! I would stil prefer an even thinner single-stack model, but the double-stack compact that you are waiting on is definitely a pistol I could see myself owning and carrying. I'm one of those devoted HK P7-weirdos, but I could "live with" this as a CCW no problem I also am a die-hard 9mm guy, so it fits my taste in that regard too...

Short and skinnny of it, Shawn: I am jealous.

Keep us posted, please.

Regards,
-Bones

well,.....

Wilson was not even close to having it ready, I was being told ANOTHER 6 weeks
While they claim that standard 1911 holster will fit this is not true. I had some issues with my KZ45, wont fit the serpa sportster due to width of trigger guard, and size of mag release makes it push in when in leather.
Mags are close to $50

and

I plan on carrying my TRP instead

I was able to not lose any of my deposit so I can go about some other stuff I wanted to do.

and

I need the money

I still think it looks like a great pistol, cancelling my order wasnt easy.
