Met a fellow PAFOAn today at the temple

I got a surprising PM last week from someone who recognized the structure in my signature banner as the Golden Temple.

It turns out that jatt420 is not only a Sikh, but terribly interested in shooting, and has just taken care of the basics (a hunting license) in order to qualify for lawful firearms possession here, given his immigration status.

We have a long, long history of military service, both in defending ourselves as a religion, defending others from tyranny, in a political entity of our own in the Punjab that lasted 150 years, and in service to the Indian Army before and after the departure of British rule in 1947. Because of this history, as well as the tenets of the religion, our interest in arms and their use tends to be fairly keen.

So, I'd like to introduce you to jatt420, and I hope that we'll see him on the line with us in the future some day at a PAFOA or other function. If anyone can give him some advice about places in and around DelCo for outdoors ranges, please do.

I knew a tiny bit about your peeps in high school before there were that many around these parts. Coincidentally, I looked up some stuff on Sikhs last week last week but don't remember why. I have respect for the herritage and principles of Sikhs.

Many of them are humble so I will speak. Ahem... You can see some of them wearing turbans at gas stations. They generally believe in truth and defending the weak, especially at their own peril. They have a strong heritage of military service and bravery, for which they are most known, but also substantial contributions to science and art. And they carry a giant knife like those Gurhkas. I'm sure I botched it but that's a reasonable Western-style summary for my pay grade.

I'm sure you'll get a link to much better info but those are the important points as it pertains to my daily life.
