when i was 15 i was convicted of domestic violence. before anybody gets up in arms about it, it was an argument i had with my mother at the time. She called the police and said i pushed her (wich was not the case but obvisably the police took her word over mine being 15 at the time). i went to juvenile court and had to plead guilty to what ever the charge was at the time(i didnt realize at the time what it was because i was 15). None the less im 23 i live at home with my mom and have a great relationship with her, to the point where she loaned me 85.000 dollars to start a business. i went last year to get a concealed carry permit and they denied me because of this. i thought anything before 18 was not held against you and if so does that me i cant ever own a fire arm in my life, or can it be expunged and i can stll purchase one. i love shhoting guns and just want a handgun of my own for personal protection (business lots of cash) and personal use. anybody who has any knowledge of this please put in your two cents.

According to 18 U.S.C. 922, anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, cannot posses firearms.

Getting this charge expunged will most certainly require an attorney, and will take a great deal of time and money.

Yes, juveniles are usually just adjudicated "delinquent", from what I understand of the juvenile justice system. Juveniles are not my primary clientèle.

I agree that it will take a lawyer to sort this out and get relief.

Here's a quick cut & paste from 6105 of the UFA, not sure if this is current:

7 A person who was adjudicated delinquent by a court pursuant to 42 Pa.C.S.§ 6341 (relating to adjudication) or under any equivalent Federal statute or statute of any other state as a result of conduct which if committed by an adult would constitute an offense under sections 2502, 2503, 2702, 2703 (relating to assault by prisoner), 2704, 2901, 3121, 3123, 3301, 3502, 3701 and 3923.

8 A person who was adjudicated delinquent by a court pursuant to 42 Pa.C.S.§ 6341 or under any equivalent Federal statute or statute of any other state as a result of conduct which if committed by an adult would constitute an offense enumerated in subsection (b) with the exception of those crimes set forth in paragraph (7). This prohibition shall terminate 15 years after the last applicable delinquent adjudication or upon the person reaching the age of 30, whichever is earlier.
