I’d have to agree with Bill on Grand Theft Auto. The victim is the one that had his car stolen…defiantly not a victimless crime. On another note, what are you fishing for Bill? Do you have a definition that’s in your minds eye that you’re not sharing? You keep pushing for a definition. Some (not all) of the examples given are agreeable and clear to me. 922r and NFA are good examples for me. Please enlighten us so we can have some standard to go by. Something that would help us find a definition for you.

YA right!

If that was the case it would never get to court. My 9mm would make sure of that right quick.

I'm not a nazi but here is where I can get behind the muslims. If you get busted with the right amount of drugs, or convicted for selling them you get your damned hand cut off, do it again you lose your other hand. No jail time, no need to buren the tax payers just punish the offender and move on. This cruel and unusaul punishment things to be revisited.

Cruel and unusual?

If cutting their hand off is made the standard then it is not 'unusual'. If a ten years in prison is the standard for jaywalking then it would also not be unusual.

The trick then is the term "Cruel". I feel anything you do to a person that cause's more suffering than the victim suffered is cruel.

If they get caught with drugs then take whatever drugs they had on them and make them use it all. OD? Who cares.

There's a difference between our 2 worlds, Mid Eastern and Western.

Personally, I liked the idea in "Escape From LA" with Kurt Douglass.

Ship offenders off to an island and let them do what they want on it.

The problem is we INCARCERATE instead of INCINERATE........................apply the death penalty in a timely and frequent manner in the cut and dry full confession/witnessed offenses.

Even apply to rapes/child molestations and major offenses

There used to be a time in this country when crimes such as rape and murder were dealt with through the death penalty. Today, when DNA evidence can prove or disprove beyond a reasonable doubt one's guilt or innocense, let killers, rapists, and child molesters be executed. It serves no purpose to try to rehabilitate these people. Show humanity to people who live law-abiding lives, not towards those who live off of their own inhumanity.

As for lesser offenses, I like the "three stikes and you're out" approach, but I would step it up a notch. If a person proves that they are unwilling to live a law-abiding life, and is proven to commit crimes again and again, that person is clearly incapable of living among people. Rehabilitation is a waste of time, allowing them to live out their life in a cage is a waste of money and manpower. Execute them.

Save mercy and humanity for those who deserve it.
