What have your experiences been like there?
They seem to have astronomical firearms prices, and a rudimentary range that isn't always the best controlled one that I've ever seen. Anybody ever get a decent deal there? |

This is the link for search results regarding French Creek:
http://www.pafoa.org/forum/search.php?searchid=40448 of that page, you may find these links interesting: http://www.pafoa.org/forum/shops-20/...t=French+Creek http://www.pafoa.org/forum/ranges-18...t=French+Creek http://www.pafoa.org/forum/ranges-18...t=French+Creek http://www.pafoa.org/forum/berks-26/...t=French+Creek Personally, I'll never pay the prices they're asking ever again, I can find better deals elswhere. I Bought my first pistol there, and that was only because at the time I was new to the area and didn't know any other shops. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't have purchased it from them. I'll shoot at the range, and do a transfer there if it is convenient for both parties, but otherwise I don't even bother to go in.

a couple of nice guys there(Stan the firearms manager) but gun prices are a little too pricey on some stuff and ok on others. I don't shoot there so I have no input on that.

I shoot there sometimes after work in the winter when it is dark or too cold to go to the free outdoor public range off rt23. I never saw a safety issue there, guess it is a combination of who is shooting and who is running the range at the time though. Gun prices are a bit high, but their customer service is top notch and very knowledgable from what I have experianced.

I shoot there somewhat regularly (twice a month or so) and use it mostly for that. I may be purchasing a PT145 pistol there soon, and the price on that isnt absurd ($350).
Main reason I like it is that I can shoot subguns there. |

I don't think their prices are high, their revolvers & autos are well priced for this area. Any specifics on a high price? Everyone always says a place has bad prices, I wish someone would tell me the magical place that they are getting great prices at.

When I was in the market for my first pistol a friend told me to go to Cabelas in Hamburg, PA. He said they will give you the best price. So I drove all the way up there and bought the gun I wanted. Turns out that FCO had the same model for the exact same price.
Next time I'll call Cabelas and get a price quote first. I'm not knocking Cabelas though. I had a blast just walking around the store. |
