Default Levdansky & Douglas and the NRA-PVF

Looks like the NRA is going after State Rep. Dave Levdansky...from a NRA-PVF email:

Quote:
Do You Really Know Who Dave Levdansky Is?
Make Your Voice Heard Today!

Pennsylvania State Representative Dave Levdansky (D-39) has spent his 23 years in office fighting against the fundamental rights guaranteed to law-abiding gun-owners by the U.S. Constitution and the Pennsylvania Constitution.

The U.S. Supreme Court and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court have rendered decisions supporting the right of individual citizens to keep and bear arms. Despite these decisions, Representative Levdansky has continually mocked and ridiculed the freedoms guaranteed to us in the Second Amendment.

As an elected official, Levdansky took an oath to uphold these rights, but his track record proves that he blatantly and defiantly rejects our freedoms and his oath.

Over the years Representative Levdansky has made clear his Gun Control Agenda:

•Representative Levdansky made the following comments at a Game and Fish Committee hearing on HB 2079 in 1986 in Clarion, PA “. . . insofar as the constitutional question of the right to keep and bear arms is concerned, I think that that argument is rather hollow and shallow . . . At best, I think that the right to bear arms argument is nothing more than rightwing, ideological rhetoric and ought to be dismissed as such”.

•Opposes state firearms preemption law that protects sportsmen and gun owners and the Constitutional Right to Bear Arms.
-- HB 185 (02-1994)

•Introduced legislation to have the legislature take financial control of the Game Commission.
-- HB 585 (Amend. To—1985)

•Introduced legislation that would have disarmed hunters in the field during hunting.
-- HB 2079 (Amend. To—1986)

•Supports banning semi-automatic firearms.
-- Casey Gun Ban (HB 2600-1994)
-- Michlovic Gun Ban (A4958/HB 185)
-- Ryan Gun Ban (A5096/HB 185)

•Supports Anti-Gun Organizations such as the Million Mom March.
-- Million Mom March (HR 391)

It is time for Representative Levdansky’s career of dishonesty to end, and to finally elect someone who will stand up for the Second Amendment and our rights as gun owners.

It is time for Monica Douglas!

But Monica can’t do it alone. She needs you to help her defeat Representative Levdansky!

This is the election that gun owners can and must remove the voice of the anti-gun agenda in Harrisburg. Please consider making a financial contribution to the Citizens for Monica Douglas campaign. All donations should be sent to:

If you would like to volunteer please contact the campaign at 412-551-4891 or by email at mdouglas@monicadouglas.com.

It is our time as gun owners to make significant changes in order to protect our rights.

Default Re: Levdansky & Douglas and the NRA-PVF

This is the first time the NRA is working with FOAC (Firearm Owners Against Crime) to take out a career ANTI-GUN Representative that desperately need to be fired or unelected.

Here is an interesting story the way I first heard it.
After Rep Levdansky poorly written lost and stolen amendment on HB 1845went down in flames after the full house vote.
Allegedly Rep Levdansky took the vote personally and his bad temper got the best of him, he stormed to the back of chamber went right to the NRA representative and poking the NRA rep in the chest said something in a raised voice along the lines that
Quote:
“you can’t do anything to touch me back in my district.”

“You tried before and failed”

“so you do whatever you think you have to”

“but I am going to continue to offer legislation like this”
my note (offer legislation like this = more Anti-gun legislation)

I did not personally witness this event so take this all as hear say, including what is in quotes.

Still I have personally witness first hand Rep Levdansky bad temper on several occasions and it would not be out of place with his ARRGORANT, self serving attitude.

Years ago, I also witness 1st hand Rep Levdansky running his normal BS at a local gun club in his district, several people got up grab him and literally threw him out of the club house during his speech while he was trying to justify his ANTI-GUN bills and numerous ANTI-GUN votes.

It was a hoot, this is what gun owners all across the state needs to help US remove this ARRGORANT, Anti-Gun Rep Levdansky. In doing so it will make a political statement that gun owners are a force to be reckoned with.
We are willing to stand shoulder to shoulder, state wide, to remove threats to our FREEDOMS that Anti-Gunners like Levdansky Represent.

Just received the NRA email on Mr. Levdansky
Seems Mr.Levdansky purposely projects a 'special attiutde' that makes people love to hate him.

Anyone know where I can find a picture of Mr. Levdansky?

You guys don't know the half of it.

Most of the anti-gun legislation had been introduced by the black caucus on behalf of Gov. Rendell. Since all of it had been going down in flames, The Governor wanted a legislator from a "safe" district to push his gun control efforts.

IOW, someone from the western part of the state.

IOW someone from a rural district.

IOW someone other than from the black caucus.

He handpicked Levdansky and Levdansky was more than happy to accommodate the Governor. God only knows what favors he received in return.

If the voters in his district unseat him, based solely on the anti-gun issue, it will send shock waves through the legislature and send a strong message to other legislators supporting gun control initiatives.
