Default Wolf Ammo question?

Ok I don't know if it's spelled with an (e) or not so I apologize if I spelled it wrong. Anyway, I have heard that this ammo is REALLY dirty. My husband used it before to shoot a pistol that he no longer has...not even sure what that was so I can't say at this time as he's not home. Anyway, he wants to try some for my glock since it's less expensive and I want to go to the range all the time. (ok yes, I'm addicted ) Probably doesn't help that my son got up this morning and asked first thing "hey can we go shoot again today?" after having gotten his first rifle yesterday. Anyway, he insists that a glock is just made to handle anything and should stand up to this ammo. Since I know there are a lot of long time glock owners here I thought this would be a good place to ask before I let him run out and potentially ruin it....Yes, HE wants to shoot Roxi today. I guess I will let him. I know she'll tell me if he man-handles her. LOL! TIA for any feedback.

My experiences with Wolf brand is that for the most part its "dirty", but goes bang nearly all the time(about on par with other brands). The steel casing ammo tends to be dirty more because the steel doesn't expand and seal the chamber as well as brass does. Scoring of the feed ramp can be a problem too with steel cased ammo, but usually only in cheaper guns with softer materials.

If its brass cased - no worries..

Unless one of the better knowing Glock guys/gals says otherwise - I say shoot Wolf and be happy. Glocks, like most other para-military designed arms were designed to shoot crappy ball ammo, made buy the lowest bidder.

As long as you clean it regularly, it should be fine. (:

She, you will find 2 main camps on this, I won't touch it and go ahead it's fine. Personally, I will use steel case ammo in my combloc guns, but avoid it in the rest on the premise of better safe than sorry. If it's all I had and I need it I will use it.

Before I started to reload i shot 1k of 45acp through a Springfield 1911 and about 1.5 K 9mm through a Beretta. I never had a problem.

I shot about 1k of .223 brown bear (steel case) ammo through my Ar-15. I only have one problem wth a case failing to extract after being fired. I had to drive the case out of the chamber with a rod. That was a problem but i continued to use the ammo and I can not see any damage due to the case getting stuck.
unless you reload i think that you might as well get the cheapest ammo you can.

The only Wolf I've used is 7.62 x 39 in my AKs and I did run into some jamming problems with them once in a while. I switched to Golden Tiger and have not had a single problem with them.

I never use Wolf I don't like how dirty it is. I am anal about keeping my guns clean. Not to mention I get very nervous about the steel casings on my gun's parts, as far a scoring and accelerating wear.

I carry a Glock it will shoot stones if you put some powder and a charge behind it, I am just super picky about my babies. That is why they will out last me. My hope is for one day my children to be carrying the exact same gun(s) I do today.
