Wayne County shoot planned for August.

This came out of the Pike county section. We may be reserving the SGL 159 Dyeberry range. It depends on how many people decide to turn out. It's about 10 mins outside of Honesdale. The Wayne County Fair is during the first 2 weeks of August ($8 admission). That's good if some of you may want to go to that during the evening.

The could be a small meet/shoot or a large one. I guess that's why I'm posting it in here. Just to get an idea of how many people may be interested in going. We were planning on having a grill as well.

So ya...if you're interested in making the trek to H'dale...put your name down. This date will be landing on a Sunday...either the 3rd or 10th. The range is really out in the middle of no-where. So it doesn't get a lot shooting traffic. If this does end up becoming a nicely attended event, I'll try and close the range. Or...should we let it open to the public and maybe get a few new members? It makes no difference to me.

There's a nicely sized stream in-back of the 50/100 yard lanes. So...bring your fishing pole as well. Dyeberry is one of the cleanest ranges I've ever been to. Reason for that is the NY/NJ visitors have no idea about it and its location being in the middle of nowhere helps as well. It also has a nicely sized pistol 25-yard range. Around 15 targets.

So yeah....either way we're going to have something going down in August..I just figured I'd let it open to the rest of the board. Feel free to post here or pm me with your suggestions. That's all I've got for now- Mike

You can put us (myself and the wife) down as a fairly serious maybe, to be honest we'd be there in a second if it wasn't a state range ... we HATE that damn mag limit on those courses (or would that not apply if we reserved it)

I am interested for sure. How far is this from Lake Wallenpaupack, any actual directions or a link to them? I am from Bucks county but spend as many weekends as I can up there. Any info is greatly appreciated!

From Wallenpaughpack you would take route 6 into Honesdale turn right onto main St. and then proceed 4 miles take a left and follow the signs to the range. It is not hard to find
