LMAO this video brings back some memories. I went threw two of those exact same situations, and survived them much successfully.
1st one was at a party when I was just 16. My friend's father was there drunk off his ass hosting it, and letting everyone drink beer from a kegg (5$ = all you could drink, and I'm not sure if I Payed my friend). Half the crowd was college students, and almost all the girls were high on shrums. The college students were in possession of it all. Well I was having another beer, and suddenly the music went off. I saw a flashlight's beam panning all over and coming closer. I hid my beer behind me. The room was stuffed so the officer announced everybody outside, and then had us all stand on one side of the yard. Comming outside I saw a few people arrested, and herd my friend's father being asked if he knew minors were drinking at the party. Me, and my friend drifted in back of everyone, and noticed that we were in the clear there. He asked me if I wanted to bail, and I said yeah. We looked around, perfect, and walked quickly away into the dark street and called for a ride. 2nd time I was pulled over for speeding in New Jersey at 11:40pm on my way to my friend's house. I wasn't watching my speed at all, because I was much more concerned about deers being around that area so I was using my high beams to see as far ahead in case I had to stop completely like I've had to before up there. At the corner of my eye I see head lights on of the side of the road turn on, and I knew it was a cop. Pulled over I shut my car off, put my hands on the wheel, and waited. The cop came over only paying attention to wat was inside my car by using his flashlight. He came to my passenger side, and starting tapping my window asking me to open it (I thought they came by the driver side window). He announced himself as party patrol, and it wasn't fun apologizing, and explaining that I thought he was going all the way around my car. He then asked me to step out of my car, and if I had weapons, drugs, did drugs, last time I smoked, where I was going, my friends name, where did I get my license, why do you seem so tired, why do you look nervous. And after I got back into my car if I could move that shirt, tissue box, map, everything, and completely destroy a neat pile of things (I was a little shocked at the mess that cop made me make). After it was all over the cop ended up letting me go with a maintenance of lamps ticket, and I don't know what the hell it meant, but it was a lot better than a speeding ticket. |

Will, I think you may have showed every example of what NOT to do! I'd rather just have the speeding ticket like the kid in the first video than be humiliated by some POS NJ cop! peace

Well I knew if he saw I wasn't really a punk he'd let the speeding go, and being tight on moneys without a speeding ticket my car insurance wouldn't go up so it was a little more beneficial for me dodging it by consenting to a partial search. Plus, I never carry drugs.

Most LEOs' have better things to do other than bust you and your friends for marijuana. I know for a fact that the ones I know don't even want to write out the paperwork, and take the time to arrest you because they know most possession charges are either reduced to disorderly conduct, or thrown out entirely.
However, most small town municipal police officers are bored and catching some young punk kids smokin a joint would make their year. Narcotics OTOH, is a different story all together. I don't know any LEOs' that won't bust you for the hard stuff. As they should. A lot of times a LEO can tell just by looking at you and your car what you're up to. I can tell pretty easily someone who is straight-edge, a pothead, a junkie, or drunk. How you present yourself is everything. As far as a criminal's rights are concerned, there are too many; and not enough victims rights. The ACLU makes LEOs' look like monkeys with guns (which some of them are!) and this is not representative of the new breed of LEO. The LEOs' know your rights way better than most people who haven't gone through law school. They can use it to be a good cop, or to get you in trouble. Either way, abide by the law and you will be fine.
