Default range shooting with someone with a criminal record

I do not have a record but a relation of mine has a non violent criminal record, is it unlawful for me to take him to a shooting range, for target shooting i do have a LTCC.

What, specifically, was he convicted of?

I'm going to have to disagree with you. A person in Pennsylvania can purchase a firearm with having a drug possession record so long as the penalty is <one year. They are prohibited from getting a LTCF.

Edit to include I am not a lawyer, this is just my interpretation. Please look further into Pennsylvania law.

I don't think that is the case. I verified for myself (not on my own behalf) but it was years ago so you'll have to confirm.

And it's not how long the person served in jail. It's how long they could have served. In other words, if they only served 6 months but their crime was punishable up to 2 years, then the 2 years is what matters.

I think it is greater than two years, but PA has a list of specific prohibitors as well.

I thought that was only to purchase or own a gun. What if he is just lending a gun for use at the range to this convicted person?
