[Dickson City] Group’s lawsuit names DC cops

“I am dismayed this organization targeted Dickson City to advance their cause,” she said, a charge the group denies.

If any targeting was done, I'd say the Dickson City police targeted the OC'ing diners.

They would have done better to target their law books... or their cell phones, in getting hold of someone that actually knew the law, before they started throwing their weight around.

it's about a group of people that have had their rights violated--period. there were no laws being broken,except by the police.
the biggest thing i don't understand is if ordinary people can figure out the laws regarding open carry,why the hell is it so hard for the cops to understand it?

My.02 .... Ms/Mrs. Mecca's comments about furthering the cause are nothing more than a way to invoke the anti-firearm public support needed to muddy the waters of the potential jury pool and/or judges. Always better to start the contamination early, so people (who know nothing about what happened mind you) have time to appeal their bogus concerns and personal agendas through the proper chain of ears so their voices may be heard ... regardless of whether or not anything illegal actually happened.

I agree 100%, this is a civil rights violation .... not a firearms violation. I'm very interested to see the media coverage on this, and the direction and manner in which the media tries to portray it.

By watching many cases including criminal cases, I have come to the conclusion that it takes about 2 years for a case to mature and enter the court system for adjudication. Some take longer depending on appeals and continuances and stays etc.

So, patience Grasshoppers.
