PLEASE HELP !!!!

Well today I got my LTCF disapproval letter. The reasons were that I failed to give accurate information, I failed to cooperate or failed to give truthful answers. How can I appeal this, can anyone reccomend a lawyer??? Please help me

I believe you can get a challenge form from the department that sent you the denial letter. But I think you have only 30 days to file this appeal, so you should check on it Monday and get it in. A lawyer would be a good (but expensive) idea. But start working on that appeal form quickly.

Did you read the bottom of the paper you signed ??? Where you swore your giving truthful answerers !!! Duh what did you lie about ??

IANAL But I would think lying on the form would disqualify you from getting a LTCF in the state

What are they referring too? Did you give accurate info & truthful answers? I mean what are they basing it on? Did you omit some info? Forget anything?

on the Philadelphia Police site it says:

ALL APPLICANTS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT FALSE STATEMENTS (WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN) WILL BE CAUSE FOR DENIAL AND MAY RESULT IN ARREST.

Danp here on the forum may be able to recommend a lawyer from the Philly area, even so you need to have all your facts straight.

How old are you, I thought in another post you mentioned that you were 20 or 19, is that old enough to get a ltcf? Laws are funny, I knew a cop who got his partner to buy him ammo cause you can be a cop at 18 but have to be 21 to buy handgun ammo and he was 19.

Is anything in your background questionable? The PPD application says all applicants will be fingerprinted, were you? and is there anything they'd find from your past?

Short of getting an attorney maybe go back to the gun permit unit and ask specifically why you were denied and go from there.

I'll be 26 in September, and I was arrested in the past but all charges were dismissed and the cases closed.
