http://www.eriecountysheriffs.org/ Firearms Division (814) 451-7444. You'll be speaking with Sgt. Amendola (sp?) who is the head of the Division. The sheriff will do the sign off and is a very very pro-gun person and nice guy in general. |

I don't know much about the requirements for the FFL, but I thought the Chief Law Enforcement Officer is actually the District Attorney.

I had my local Police Cheif sign off on mine. They also did the prints for me. After you get your FFL then you are allowed to apply for your State License - You do that through the Sheriff.
