I'd like to see a bumper sticker that reads, "This driver is armed, go carjack someone with an Obama sticker."

Does anyone have any statistics on "accidentally shooting their kid"? I cant imagine people accidentally shoot their kids more often than they accidentally run over them with the minivan when backing up. Maybe we should outlaw minivans?
I know someone (by association through employment) who accidentally ran over one of his kids while backing up his SUV in his driveway. Fortunately the kid wasn't seriously injured. He has a driver's license and he has several (unruly) children, one might argue that he shouldn't be allowed to have either. Fortunately he choses to not have guns.

The stats are for everyone. For children, I understand bicycle, drowning and football are greater cause of death than handguns (as long as you do not include gang=bangers shooting each other).

That's pretty good!

Unless you drive a piece of junk, any bumper sticker just makes the car look like crap, IMO. I drove an old land-yacht station wagon for a while (a deer totaled my other car), some years ago. I had all sorts of inflammatory stickers on it, many pro-gun. I had fun looking in the rear view mirror at stop lights. Some would laugh, some would shake their head. Most showed no expression.

I don't have the link offhand, but I remember reading that according to FBI statistics:

4 times more people were stabbed to death in their sleep by their spouse than shot with a gun
13 times more children were beaten to death by one of their parents than shot with a gun
For every reported incident of rape, there were 6 reported incidents of rape being prevented bc the intended victim was carrying a gun.

I'll see if i can find the link again and post it if i do.
