Default Dickson City Gun Ban Pressuring

I might want to bring this up to you guys. At least a few of the stores that are indicating "No Guns Allowed" are violating their own corporate policies. In almost any chain store's gun policies are not determined by an individual store manager.

For example, Home Depot and Lowes.

Home Depot:

http://www.tennesseefirearms.com/law...s/homedepo.pdf

I did find this:

You are correct. That sign should have been removed. We have contacted
the Management team at the Midtown Memphis Home Depot to have them
remove the sign immediately.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

The Home Depot does not prohibit anyone who is legally permitted to
carry firearms from entering our stores, provided the firearms are
carried in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

If you would like to speak with a Customer Care professional, please
call us at 1-800-553-3199 (USA) or 1-800-668-2266 (Canada). We would
like to provide you a ticket number as a record of your concern. Your
number is [xxxxxxx].

Sincerely,

Shelby

I seem to remember a situation similar with Lowes. Most of these businesses in Dickson City are violating their own corporate policies. Report them to corporate and maybe we can turn things around there.

These are exactly the kinds of things we're looking for to help counter the "list" being put together by the Dickson City PD! It's very possible that local management needs to be set straight as well. Keep checking the list as I continue to get it online and post any conflicts that you are aware of.

At some point, this thread my be merged (or at least cross-linked) with the online list so everything can be referenced easily.

I was looking at the list the chief sent you in your results thread and this caught my eye.

11. Dick's will mail it in, no weapons, allows open carry (There is a horizontal scribble mark to the left of the number 10)
WTF?? If they don't allow weapons, what exactly is it they allowed to be carried openly?

It is probably an incomplete note in the sense that their employee policy does not allow weapons, but they allow OC in the store....
Just speculation on my part.
