Just came back from this one. Even for a Friday night, it seemed light (as in "less than 100% set-up"). Made pretty quick work of it. Here's what I found:

- Arrived early, enjoyed a late lunch at Chumley's
- Plenty of Milsurp rifles of every stripe to be had
- Complete AR-15s and uppers all over the place
- Saw a neat Marlin Papoose, talked myself down
- Offended by new, OEM Glock magazine prices
- Ammunition prices seem to have stabilized a bit
- I like the Teriyaki Beef Jerky, perhaps too much
- Got to pet a tiny little dog (Pomeranian, maybe)

- M1 Garand prices were still up there, but the quality was much better than the March show
- Some real nice SKS to pick from, getting up there in price though, $250 +
- The same guy from Jersey sitting right up front still selling P08s and P38s at prices like they're made of gold.
- Rediculously high prices for some big bore pistols. $899 for a S&W 29-2 with practically warn smooth grips, come on. I picked up the exact same gun in like new condition, in a velvet lined walnut display box for $550 not too long ago.
- I heard a lot of newbies asking dealers questions, and I heard a lot of good, honest answers. Asian guy in the back selling M1 Garands seemed almost too honest, letting people about CMP if his were too pricey (and I think his prices for the quality were fair)
- Still couldn't find a decent AK for a decent price. A couple Yugo M70 synthetic underfolders for $499, but anything with wood was over $550
- I wanted to flick that damn pomeranian off the display case like a booger, how annoying.
- The first time I noticed a beef jerky tent and I laughed out loud thinking about some of the threads on this forum.
- Came home with a 1941 P38, matching numbers, 90% original finish, soldier bring back, nazi markings, no import marks. And lots of ammo in many shapes and flavors. Color me happy!

I saw a lot of them there, but I wasn't in need (ok, want) so I didn't check the prices. What I did see was basically the MSRP on boxed guns, so it's up to the buyer to know how hard to push to bring the prices down. I would bet there's a lot of room to negotiate with the number of dealers I saw with shotguns. I would say I saw more AR and Tactical shotgun dealers than any other type specific dealer there.

I didn't buy any russian tonight, but looking around I found the table with the big ammo sign in the back left corner had the best (or equal) prices, and they have everything. I bought Mosin ammo from them last time because they were the only ones that had non-corrosive. I bought .38 spl, 9mm and .45 acp from them tonight because they had the best price. Ask the guy about his Hard Glock Cafe shirt and you'll get a smile, otherwise, he acts pretty stressed out because at the end of the day when the gun booths are shutting down, everyone's running to his table to buy ammo for their new toys.

That dog is actually kinda cool. They can be a yappy, annoying breed, but this one never made a sound or caused a fuss. She just quietly visited anyone who stopped at "her table" and was willing to pay attention to her. While I'm a fan of "sturdier" dogs, I actually thought it was kinda cute.

I know, I know. And I actually went and bought some. I admit it freely... the Teriyaki is pretty good stuff.

To venture back toward the topic, I loaded up on CCI Mini-Mag for about $5.50 per 100 rounds. I figured I couldn't lose.

Great deal! .22 lr, I assume. The best deal I've ever found was online at $8.70 per 100, but I'd have to buy 500. Wish I saw that.

Thanks,

I can help you and I will be there tomorrow first thing in the morning till about noon, ill shoot you a PM with my phone number.

I was actually surprised how cheap the x39 ammo was (there is a booth near the entrance which was selling it for 167/1000 which is unheard of, even on the internet. I walked around all day with my swede mauser and my k31, lots of lookie-loos but no buyers. Its funny considering what I am asking for vs the gun show prices (which from what I saw were anywhere from 20-25% more than what I am offering and not as good quality). Also, I am going to carry these around tomorrow, but holy crap does that 25lbs or so really wear on your fast. 4 hours of that was enough for me to almost keel over.

I ended up walking away today with a Stag AR15 with carry handle, peep sight and collapsible stock. It was actually a good price and I can hardly wait to shoot it after the show tomorrow. Also 500rds of wolf 223 (ill admit it was a little expensive but whatever I want to shoot tomorrow) and about 30 tracer rounds in .223 *shhh*
