As the thread says, I'm looking to find a Mosin Nagant somewhere close to Lancaster. Are there any dealers that sell them normally without having to wait for a gun show or buy online?
Thanks in advance. -- Bill |

Try either Backwoods Outfitters in Columbia or Encks Gun Barn in Newmanstown. Backwoods is on Ironville Pike, Encks has a website www.encksgunbarn.com

What are you looking for?
I have an M-44 and a 91/30 that I would consider selling. I have one 91/30 that I will probably never sell...... those old Mosins kind of grow on you. As for local shops that have them in stock.... none I know of. Mallins used to, but their stock has dwindled and prices are high. Trout run has some nice Mauser usually, but I've never seen a Mosin there. Eagle Arms way up 100 has an excellent stock, if you can catch him when he hasn't taken everything to a gun show. Dunhams in Harrisburg usually has some cruddier examples, but they have been bad boys at that store and must get every gun sale authorized by the home office. Thats a PIA to deal with. |

Oh.... if you wish to see mine I MIGHT be at the military rifle shoot
at SLCFSA tomorrow. Maybe.... 30 degrees and 30 MPH winds might be discouraging. |

Get a C &R and have one shipped to your front door for $90, shipping included.

It is not that hard to obtain, and only costs $30 for three years. You more than easily make that up on your first purchase. You will also get "dealer" pricing on everything else offered by great companies like www.midwayusa.com and www.brownells.com I buy all of my optics from Midwayusa. I easily save thirty dollars or more on every scope, bino, that I buy. There are also a ton of companies that sell C&R stuff on the net. www.aimsurplus.com for one and southern ohio gun for another. I have dealt with both of them and am always pleased at the quality of the product. The only bad thing is that you can not see what you are getting until it arrives. You can buy these C&R rifles for a fraction of the cost.
