Default Who has the best selection of in stock ARs?

Who within 75 miles of Philadelphia has the best in stock inventory of ARs, in either .223 or .308??

I'm looking to buy my first - still not sure of what caliber, manufacturer, or configuration and would like to fondle as many as I can before I decide what to buy.

I'm leaning towards one in .308 (maybe a DPMS LR308AP4) and building an AR15. I have two stripped Stag lowers that I was saving for down the road.

I've been looking on line and on AR15.com for about 2 months now and my head in spinning! I'd like to feel the balance and fit of one before I plunk down my hard earned $$.

Thanks in advance for any help!

It's right by BOTH OF YOU!

It's right across from the Willow Grove Naval Air Base (well, catercorner). A couple of weeks ago they had probably close to 30 DIFFERENT AR's there, from completely stock, to fully loaded. They have a HUGE selection, but be sure to actually look as some are hiding on the awful displays they have (they would sell a shit ton more if they had a display where you could see everything!).

Targetmaster in Chadds Ford usually has about a dozen to select from. Mostly Colt, S&W or Sabre. I suggest you call and find out what is in stock before burning the gas.

I just returned from Targetmaster. They have three ARs on the rack. One Colt 20" barrel, one Colt 16" and one S&W 16". Seems they had a run on ARs since I was there a week ago.

Those are all 5.56/.223

Never seen a 7.62/.308 in targetmaster...

You could always try King's shooter's supply in King of Prussia. Roger is a good guy and if he doesn't have exactly what you are looking for he is always willing to order it. On a really good note this is a great "Mom and Pop" type shop and you WILL get grief there. Great folks and great service.

Guess they just aren't as big a seller.

I've bought a couple pistols there, but I got my LR-308 elsewhere.

Check out Seneca Arms in Green lane, he has a lot of AR's to choose from. Be prepared not the neatest shop on the planet but the man knows his stuff. He can be a little standoffish but he will get you set up.
