Thanks for the clarification! The entire licensing program has been turned over to our Sheriff as well.
NFA sign off is up to the individual, Chief, Sheriff or DA, Judge if one wants to petition the court. Our last Chief was pretty cool, not sure about this one. (new election, mayor cleaned house) In my many years of carry, I've only been asked once by the police if I had a permit, never had a request to show it. As to presenting the first posts information to an officer, I would need to see where the officer was coming from. There might be times where it might be valuable,and others where it would be best not to.
