Front sight removal 870 exp. super mag
Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the front sight on an 870 exp???

If it's screwed in you can wind it out. If it's a press fit, I think you pretty much have to cut it off and drill and tap for a new one.
Can you see threads?

No..... It is apparently pressed in. I had vise-grips on and tried to tap it out with a hammer. I thought I might have to cut it off and drill it but I wasn't sure. What a pain in the a--! All for fiber optics. Thanks!!!

Gunsmiths don't charge much for that job should you not wish to do it yourself.

Thanks. I am a mechanic by trade. It really isn't anything I can't tackle. It really is OMG what a pain in the friggin' butt. It was a simple 5 min. project that turned into a job. In addition, the only reason I decided to intall them in the first place was because I got a deal on them. Thanks for your help...
