Excel,
I am lucky if I can open an Excel document let alone manipulate one for my needs. I am forced to use it at work, and can aquire information from a sheet, but lack the skills to do little more than change the size of columns and shift them around to suit my needs. I suppose this would be a good opportunity to learn something, but twenty nine bucks is a small price to pay for something that would save me a great amount of time. LOL

Absolutely! unless you're a programmer at heart i don't think its really feasible to do it yourself. That being said I might just make a PAFOA excel file that does just this. Have to think about how to make it idiot proof, not that people are idiots, but most people don't really know how to use excel well.

Agreed, but how about something quick & simple for now, like this? Attached file "inventory.zip" contains two excel files.
One file is a simple array. The other is a duplicate of the Acquisition & Disposition records FFLs keep. Either will do. Note the first file has a file photo of a Browning HP in it. Caveat to FFLs - get BATFE variant approval before using this in place of your bound book! (reference - CFR)

You are more than welcome, but don't turn me in to the irate spouse when you're discovered missing at the zero-dark-early roll call. [8^)

Sidebar: thanks for the reputation! I take it that was you?

You might try gun safe or one of the other programs listed on this page
As far as online storage, there are free websites out there, even storage sites ...FTP that are free or close to it.

Thanks in advance,
Jules

I just use Excel. I can imbed pictures into the files, and best of all, CUSTOMIZE the spreadsheet to EXACTLY what I want, PLUS I don't have to spend any money doing it, as Excel is already on my computer! I would suggest using a graphics program to get the photos to the size, resolution, and FILE SIZE you want BEFORE you put them into the spreadsheet.
