Six rounds of .38 Special old-time RNL in a small box meant to sit on top of a dresser, on the Main Line, outside of Phi-la-del-phi-a, about three years ago. The homeowner, a Volvo liberal, was horrified.

I've never purchased one in a yard sale before but I saw a yard sale while we live din Harrisburg afew years and they guy had asugne that said " ask me abuot the guns for sale" He had a few cheapos for sale. Don't remember the exact make and modles but there were a few shotguns and deer rifle type stuff for sale, but he was asking too much for my blood at the time.

I purchased the nicest 1st Series Type 99 Arisaka I've ever seen, a vet bring back with mum, monopod, AA sights and dust cover for $175.00. A 1898 Krag for $275.00 and a last ditch Type 99 for under $100.00 all from Jake's Flea Market in Barto PA at differnt times. Couple of years ago a CVA factory built Blunderbus for $200.00 from the Perkiomen Market and just last year a Swiss 1871 Vetterli from Shupp's Grove for $100.00. Plus I've must have 30 different bayonets from flea markets and yard sales. I've purchased some ammo, empty brass and at least 2 sets of reloading dies at various markets. I go to alot of flea markets, right now I'm going to the Golden Nugget in Lambertville NJ, wish me good hunting!

I see rifles / shotguns for sale all the time at the saylorsburg flea market and most times they also have ammo. We might be going today so I'll see if any are still out and about.

Picked up a Win Model 88 .308 w/ a 4X Leupold scope on it for $50 about 25 yrs ago at a yard sale. Great condition and a real straight shooter. Loves any ammo I feed it.

If you find a firearm at a flea market in NJ, it's a trap! Or the vendor is off his meds.

Thanks I know that; unless it's an antique firearm which is pre 1894 not 1898 like Federal Regs. I did buy a Lawrence .22 SAA western cartridge belt and holster rig from the 1950-60's for $12.00 at the flea market today. A little cleaning and oiling and it'll be up on eBay. Usally I find a bayonet there, but today it was a holster rig.

Yesterday, our community had a yard sale with 50 homes participating. I saw a Marlin 336 laver action for $125. He also had several boxes of ammo in different calibers. The Marlin looked in great shape, not familiar with that model so I don’t know how good a deal it was.
