Jones is a nutter, but he's also going to be pretty agreeable and sympathetic to the 2A issues. Be warned, he may try to take the issue into places you'd probably rather not go (insurrection etc...) but it's not like he'll cut and paste your answers to make you look bad like an anti-gun host might if given the chance.

He's a firestarter...a lot of crazy conspiracy theories with this guy. He'll more than likely contradict your views but who knows how far he's willing to go.

Being a foil hat, conspiracy theory nut myself I'll say that this guy makes me look sane. Great source of weird information, not sure how much is true. More entertaining then anything else, but......... he was quick to pick up on this event. And it covered it fairly.

He's very anti government and may not be the best place for this. Many conservatives think he's just nuts.

But I'd leave the decision as to doing this show to those involved.

Update: I spent the day driving home from Cincinnati OH today, and called in to speak with the producer who had contacted me last Friday. I left a message, but the whole day went by without a return call, and I figured that they had moved on to other topics. But around 3:30 PM our time, I got a call back. I spoke with the man for a while, and I am going to be on the show tomorrow at the top of the show.

I told the producer that I was not there for the precipitating event, and that my own open carry experiences were rather boring, but he wants me on anyway. He assured me that it would be a friendly interview. Even if it turns out otherwise, I think I will be able to handle it. So, if you don't have anything better to do, you can tune in tomorrow about 12:00 noon Central, which is 1:00 PM our time, and see how I do with the guy. Hopefully he won't make a monkey out of me. (wait a minute now... maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing, huh?)

If you are going to do it, even if the guy seems pro-2nd amendment, make sure you have your main points and you can always come back to them.

Don't answer the question you are asked, answer the question you want to answer- meaning tie it in to the point you are making. You don't want to find yourself making knee-jerk replies and start rambling on... or agreeing with stuff you don't want to.

I know everyone is saying "oh but this is a good guy", you still want to go in having done your homeworked, gone over notes, and with your guard up slightly.

I would think of one major point you want to get across and make sure you emphasize it during the interview. I would do it- years from now you might look back and regret if you didn't.
