looking for a range
I'm looking for a Range thats close to home (West Newton). I do all my indoor shooting A&S in Youngwood, but I'm looking for a outdoor range to shoot at as well. I'm not really sure as to shooting clubs around me so figured i'd ask.

I've thought of there i just havn't been able to get out there to check it out, or go to the meeting to register. Only bad part for me is it's still a drive. I don't go towards monreoville that often. i was just trying to explore some other places before i signed up out there.

It's less than a mile off of rt 30. Try coming to next month's Group Shoot and check the place out.

I know abouts where it is at. My only problem is it is out of the way for me to go shoot there. The range for me is in an area that i go to 2-3 times a year. There are other ranges around me, I'm just not sure where abouts they are at.

from west newton there are several clubs that are not too far. sutersville is right down the yough (i've never been there), shaner is just down the road from there (toward rilton)- rifle 100yd, pistol, trap ranges. shaner shoots trap on friday evenings, good chance to check the place out and meet some people. to get there- go to sutersville, head out rilton-sutersville road, there is a sign on the left about 3 or 4 miles out. make left and follow the road. i don't come in from this direction but go left at the "Y". roll your window down if it's friday night, you'll hear it.

There's a guy who has land on Harmony Church Road in Belle Vernon that uses it as a rifle range, and will let others do so for a small price. I don't know exactly where on Harmony Church Road it is - this is secondhand info. If you know anyone out in that direction, give them a call.
