Default Help - Can I change this 1911 rear sight?

I bought this Springfield Custom 1911 recently. It has a Robar target rear sight. Here's the question. I'd like to carry this gun, and would like to have a more "normal" rear sight put on it for carry. The Robar has sharp edges that I'm worried would snag on clothing. The slide appears to be cut differently than most, I'm assuming to accept the Robar. Are there some more normal carry sights that will fit this cut? Thanks.

Dave
Have you tried to look up anything on Brownell's website. Most likely there is something available from either Novak, Millett or Bo-mar that would fit the cut on your slide. If not any competent Gun Smith could install one for you.
Also have you checked the M1911.org site lots of helpfull people over there.

I'll second Swamp Yankees advice on Brownells, they are one of the go to places for parts.

For carry use Novak has a low profile, the edges are smooth/rounded a little bit so it limits the snags when carrying.

I like the 2 dot myself....in the Brownells online catalog is says it fits in factory dovetails...but sometimes that isn't the case. May need to be fit by a smith like Swamp Yankee noted.
