I have a S&W 340pd. It's a small 12oz J frame. It sucks to shoot. But it carries well & packs a punch (357mag).

I've got a couple of small guns, but small is a relative term, depending on your body size, how you dress, etc. I can conceal a number of guns in my pockets that other people think are too heavy for belt carry!
I have experience with a Kel Tec P3AT, which is very small. I am giving it to my daughter, and just upgraded it to a Kel Tec PF-9. It is a little bigger that the P3AT, but still fits in my pocket nicely. I have a S&W Chief's special, a .38 Special snubbie. It is just a little bit bigger than the PF-9 and somewhat fatter as well. There are others, but these are the smallest that I carry. good luck with your decision! |

Go take a look at Kahr, reasonably priced, reliable, and thinner then just about anything else out there other then the PF9

Check out the Kahr MK9 -- and if that's too heavy, the PM9. Both are the same size and pocketable, the MK is pretty heavy, though. The Rohrbaugh R9 is also very nice, although very expensive. (Both the R9 and PM9 should be considered carry guns, not range guns. If you want something that you can also put thousands of rounds per year through, go with the MK.)
I own an MK, and using an OWB holster, it disappears under a covering garment. It's also very good in coat pocket carry. I'll sometimes use my pants pockets -- though it should be noted that front pocket can be a little uncomfortable due to its weight. (The PM9 will be far more comfortable if that's your preferred carry method.) The NAA Guardian is fantastic for pocket carry if you're willing to step down to .380. Noticed one at a sporting goods store and almost bought it. |

I checked out that Kahr. It was a very nice little gun, but it weighed in like a big one! The last thing I need is to lose my drawers in public. That could end up being a felony!

i have been reading the reviews on the Bersa .380's the past few weeks. i decided to pick one up(granted it wont be till the end of this week...) but everything i have read they are great little pistols for the price.
they are simple, light and comfy in my hand. with .380 JHP i would be more than happy to CC with it. it will be a midsize for me inbetween my XD45/ Beretta M9 and my Beretta tomcat. its just one more option for CC when i have to dress certian ways...

If you're up for a wheelgun, I just picked up a Charter Arms Bulldog Pug .44 Special. It's a handful, but man does it shoot! Light as a feather, even loaded and will carry in a pocket. About $350 out the door in stainless.
