Default Why do gun shop owners do these interviews?

http://video.nbc10.com/player/?id=248241

The last time I was by this guy's place, the door was locked in the middle of the day and the place looked abandoned. I called him up to see if he was selling any of the shop contents and he seemed surprised.

Anyway, if they know what's going to happen with the footage, why do they do this? I've seen the same thing happen with the guy who runs The Firing Line, down in South Philly. It never does us any good.

SKS are illegal to import? no kidding... I could have sworn the one I got 5 years ago was right off a boat, still covered in cosmo (ick).

So this gun was solid in North Carolina at a gun show.... noone has any idea how they got it to PA and how it came to be posessed by a ex-con...

so lets ban them!

Their 15 minutes of fame has a lasting detrimental effect on people who know better.

While he may get a few customers from the TV exposure, he plays right into the media's gun grabbing agenda. Not a smart move in the long run.

Hmm, so I guess since I use 30 round mags in my AR, that must be "modified" as well.

I know what you are trying to say, but yea, if you have to remove the fixed mag to be able to use a detachable one, it's modified. Is it quick and simple to do? Yes. I would say it's a slight modification.

That thing does not even deserve to be discussed, but since you started... He is just a fat, male, Paris Hilton with a desire for political power. One of the biggest attention whores in politics today. You will never see him run from a camera or microphone.

Dear Governor (and I use that term lightly) Rendell,
You are fat...you eat too much, and you will probably die earlier in life. Potato chips are to blame. I believe it is of utmost importance that we immediately ban potato chips in the great state of Pennsylvania. You are a complete and utter moron...please stop ingesting the protein shakes from Hilary Clinton's Alabama Blacksnake.

Respectfully,
The State of Pennsylvania (-Filthadelphia)

So let me get this straight: Fast Eddie wants to ban these rifles for EVERYONE, even the majority of us who have done nothing at all to forfeit our rights, while he's willing to continue the policy of allowing career criminals to roam the streets freely, even after multiple convictions for violations of the rights of other citizens?

And why is there a push to impose mandatory minimums for criminals who shoot at police, but not for criminals who shoot at ordinary citizens? I was under the impression that the government derived it's authority from the consent of the governed, who tolerate restrictions so that the government can protect the people. Where do these little Czars get the right to do things like suspend the 2nd Amendment in all government buildings, and make it a crime to simply mention that you wish the President were dead (while it's not a crime to mention that you wish your ex-wife were dead, under exactly the same circumstances), and make it a more serious crime to do something to a government employee than to one of the "little people", and seize cash and keep it for their own use unless you can prove that it wasn't criminal proceeds?

Why do cops get new machineguns and "assault weapons" and hi-cap mags, but in some places (like the entire USA since 1986) the ordinary citizens are denied the same weapons? Sure, cops have to deal with violent criminals, but guess what: Every time the cops are called, some poor citizen has met the violent bad guy first. Criminals don't rob cops, they don't rape cops, they don't beat up cops for fun, they don't break into police stations looking for stuff to steal. Criminals target ordinary citizens. If the citizens are expected to deal with criminal predators without benefit of such weapons, then why should cops have them for when they show up at the crime scene later?

people who are scared of guns are ignorant, just like racists that are simply scared of minorities, so they turn it into uneducated hatred. Minorities are nothing to be scared of, most people who feel this way, once they have spent time with people of minority, realize they are just like us, the same as people who are scared of guns, once they handle a gun and see how safely they can be handled, realize its nothing to be living in fear of.

Point being, most racists are uneducated and close minded, and never come in contact with people of minority, they just spat epitaphs at them from across the train tracks.

Just like most people who are anti-gun have never even seen a gun in real life, just news reports about gang members shooting eachother; and it scares them. I have had many friends/acquaintances who were somewhat anti-gun but once we took them out and showed them how seriously we took safety, they realized there was no reason to be fearful of good people owning guns.
