Point being, most racists are uneducated and close minded, and never come in contact with people of minority, they just spat epitaphs at them from across the train tracks.

Just like most people who are anti-gun have never even seen a gun in real life, just news reports about gang members shooting eachother; and it scares them. I have had many friends/acquaintances who were somewhat anti-gun but once we took them out and showed them how seriously we took safety, they realized there was no reason to be fearful of good people owning guns.
That's a pretty good analogy.

The only thing I have to add is don't be crazy either. If a crew of guys with their pants around their knees, baggy shirts, gang colors wrapped around their head are coming toward you, get out of dodge.

If all you see around you are basically gang bangers, you get a different perspective than when all you see around you are doctors or lawyers (or the Cos ) or just normal people going about their lives. It's not all ignorance or close mindedness. Takes two to tango.

I am not trying to take away his chips. Limiting him to one bag a month is reasonable. No civilian has a legitimate need for sour cream and onion chips, their only purpose is to kill.

And why is there a push to impose mandatory minimums for criminals who shoot at police, but not for criminals who shoot at ordinary citizens? I was under the impression that the government derived it's authority from the consent of the governed, who tolerate restrictions so that the government can protect the people. Where do these little Czars get the right to do things like suspend the 2nd Amendment in all government buildings, and make it a crime to simply mention that you wish the President were dead (while it's not a crime to mention that you wish your ex-wife were dead, under exactly the same circumstances), and make it a more serious crime to do something to a government employee than to one of the "little people", and seize cash and keep it for their own use unless you can prove that it wasn't criminal proceeds?

Why do cops get new machineguns and "assault weapons" and hi-cap mags, but in some places (like the entire USA since 1986) the ordinary citizens are denied the same weapons? Sure, cops have to deal with violent criminals, but guess what: Every time the cops are called, some poor citizen has met the violent bad guy first. Criminals don't rob cops, they don't rape cops, they don't beat up cops for fun, they don't break into police stations looking for stuff to steal. Criminals target ordinary citizens. If the citizens are expected to deal with criminal predators without benefit of such weapons, then why should cops have them for when they show up at the crime scene later?
You are very right, but DO NOT FORGET they are the MASTERS they are the CHOOSIN ONES, learn your place peasant. sarcasm off now.

That's exactly the reality check that we all really need. I think I'm going to add that to my sig line at some other forums.

Well said.
