Thumbs up Coraopolis District Sportman's Association

I went to check out the club today and I think I'm sold. I'm going to try to attend the next meeting and get my membership all set up. Couple of questions:

1. Anybody from the forum shoot there regularly? Just wondering if I can expect to actually put a face to any of the names I see on the board.

2. Any members know why a Social Security # is required on the application? I didn't think anybody was supposed to be keeping SS# unless it was absolutely necessary for the transaction (like a financial institution).

3. Also, I found several post on this forum referencing a $125 membership fee, (75 yearly $50 initiation). My form -- fresh from Phil's Archery in McKees Rocks says $50 yearly and $25 initiation, do I have an old form?

Thanks again -- I have found this forum to be an invaluable resource and thats because of all the knowledge people who "live" here.

I signed up for the family so that may be why I paid more.(125.00)
I try to get there at least once a week but have only got out a few times since the beginning of Dec due to some issues on the home front.
For the most part, I like it there. Its seldom ever crowded,in fact, its just about empty when I go on weekday mornings. And I've always had a spot when I go on the weekends. I've only used the indoor range once so far.
As far as finding me...well, just look for this obnoxiously loud fireball

Nice looking silhoutte pistol you have there PLR!

When I signed up it was $50.00 plus $75.00 for just myself. You don't have to go to a meeting to join. Phil will take your money and give you a membership card and code to the indoor range right there in the archery shop.
