I was looking at getting a Laser or light for an xd .45, and does anyone know what kind of rail is on the xd?
Thanks

Standard picatanny rail. I just screwed on the TLR-1 onto my XD45 and it's been there 8 months or so.

I got a XD mount off Ebay and found a light that fits it, at Lowes, it has both white leds and red ones, kinda cool.

Lots cheaper than a TRL-1, I'd love one of those for mine . . . LOL

or a TRL-2

Have heard people have some problems with the Lasermax guide rod internal lazer

Less durable, no real way to get it zero'ed like an external laser, it's right below the muzzle and gets covered in soot every 2 mags, and it's more expensive.

If you don't want a rail mount, which would make finding a holster more difficult, Crimson Trace makes one for the XD that slides up over the grip, and the "on" switch is just under the trigger guard where it's turned on with a normal firing grip by either a right or left handed shooter.

That would be great option...the rest have very limited practical purposes.

Has CT made grips for the XD yet? I know the Glock model is available now.

I posted the URL for it right above your question; did you go there?
