more carcano pics
sorry, had to do a new topic. for some reason the server kicks me off every time i try to respond to a thread! tells me Im not permitted to do that, refresh and sign in. can do anything else tho!!?
ANYWAY, here are some closer pics of the carcano. Wish I had "before pics, but didnt have a camera till after it was done! it may not be the greatest job in the world, but considering how it looked when i got it Im pretty proud of myself!   all the wood looked like crummy black plastic there was so much crud caked on it!  this side of the stock had several rather wide splits along the grain, about 3/16 or so wide. probably from moisture.  shame someone cut this peice off. probably a split and they cut the whole hunk out to get rid of it.
