Cool Lady's no open blouses....

Here is another reason to wear the correct clothing to the firing range....

Darn I'll bet that would hurt your pride.

Yeah, that WOULD be embarrassing. Never dropped hot brass down my top, but I HAVE had hot brass from an M-16 land on the inside of my right elbow in boot camp. (Those "left hand ejector adapters aren't worth SQUAT!) Still have the scar 28 years later, but managed NOT to shoot myself OR anybody else (although I wanted to shoot the DI that wouldn't let me roll down my sleeve until AFTER it happened. So WHAT if it was Alabama in August...I wanted the skin protection from the sun AND the hot brass.)

That sounds like something say to claim you should wear the propper clothing. Didn't think it had ever actually happened. Bad ejection to say the least. Remind me of my P22. Have to hold it like a gangster so I don't get brass in the eye.

First, IAMAL (I am not a lady) but I actually did have a hot 45ACP case form a Para C645 go down the front of my shirt just last week. Yes, it was hot. No, I didn't violate any gun handling rules as a result. I retrieved it after continuing to empty the mag and making the gun safe. I know that that sort of thing can happen in a real self defence situation and I don't think the bag guy will hold his fire while I get the hot brass out of my shirt. I know I need to ignore that sort of thing and keep my mind focused on the gun and the target until the exercise (or situation) if over.

This is pefect justification as to why women should always shoot topless...no pesky clothing to get in the way and trap brass. Think of it as a safety issue.

I had it happen to me and I quickly put the gun on the gun stand and turned to remove it. A camera crew was filming and caught me on film.

I still live in the fear of seeing myself on utube.

have had this happen multiple times at MG shoots.

guy shooting an 8mm MG34 dumped a load of hot brass off the jeep. i was shooting prone.
one rolled against my arm, under the elbow...burned meat smell.
shower of hot 22s down the back
hot 223s, and one hot 50cal cashing against my calf...that was a stinger.

then again, it can have amusing effects to the onlookers:-)

if anybody is interested, the above cartoon comes from http://www.daybydaycartoon.com

probably one of the finest political based cartoons EVER.
